Fascias, soffits and gutters are the edge of the roof, and the edge is where the water ends up. Rotten fascia boards let the gutter sag, a sagging gutter overflows down the wall, and before long you have damp in the bedroom corner. We replace timber fascias and soffits with uPVC, ventilate the roof space properly and hang the gutters so they actually drain.
What we fit
- uPVC fascias in white, black, anthracite and woodgrain finishes, fixed to sound timber.
- Ventilated soffits so the loft can breathe, which matters more than ever on well-insulated houses.
- Guttering in half-round, square or deep-flow profile, re-hung to a proper fall with new brackets.
- Downpipes cleared, replaced and connected to the drain properly.
- Dry verge to gable ends, replacing cracked mortar for good.
- Bargeboards and box ends to match.
Done with the roof
Most of our fascia and gutter work is done as part of a re-roof, when the bottom course is off and the scaffold is up. It adds relatively little to the job and it means the whole edge of the roof is new at once. We also do fascias and gutters as a stand-alone job from ladders or a tower where the roof itself is fine.
Gutter cleaning and repairs
If the gutters are sound but blocked, leaking at a joint or pulling away from the wall, we repair rather than replace. We will tell you which it is.
