What to do while you wait
- 1
Keep people clear
Keep everyone away from the area below any loose slates, tiles or a damaged chimney, inside and out. Do not go on the roof.
- 2
Catch the water
A bucket under the drip and a towel on the floor. If water is near a light fitting, turn the circuit off at the consumer unit.
- 3
Photos from the ground
If it is safe, take a couple of photos from outside. They help us and they help any insurance claim.

Emergency call-outs: what to expect
If yours isn't here, call or message and we'll give you a straight answer.
Do you really answer at night and at weekends?
Yes. We offer 24/7 emergency call-outs. If we are already on another emergency we will tell you honestly how long we will be.
Is there a call-out charge?
For out-of-hours call-outs, yes. We tell you the charge on the phone before we set off so there are no surprises, and it appears on the invoice you can submit to your insurer.
What will you do on the first visit?
Make the roof safe and stop the water: temporary sheeting, refixing or removing loose slates and tiles, securing lifted lead. Then we photograph the damage and talk you through the permanent repair.
Can you help with the insurance claim?
Yes. We cover insurance work and we give you the photos, a written description of the damage and a quote for the repair. If your insurer wants to speak to the roofer, we will deal with the loss adjuster on the roofing side.
